World Vision Korea Children's Choir was founded in August 1960 by the founder of World Vision, Rev. Dr. Bob Pierce. Initially, the choir had toured all over the world to express gratitude toward people who had given aids.  After the winning of the highest award at the prestigious Let the Peoples Sing competition organized by the BBC in 1978, it has earned national fame as well.

The choir is the alma mater of worldly renowned soprano Ms. Hye Kyung Hong and one of the three internationally notable countertenor Mr. David DQ Lee.

Throughout its 49-year history, various foreign expert musicians and critics complimented World Vision Korea Children's Choir as "Echoes of Heaven", and it has been proved with thousands of successful worldwide concerts.

In 2000, World Vision Korea Children's Choir held the first International Children's Choir Festival by inviting the top of children's choirs from many different countires. Under the original theme of 'Imagine a World Where Children are Safe', the magnificent choir festival brought the spirit of choral music together for all generations.

With these various activities, the choir aim to achieve its own mission which is to inspire choir members to believe in their dreams by sharing the God's love and His beauty through their praises, and to inspire them to continuously participate in God's work even after their graduation. Another goal of the choir is to provide the choir members with the highest quality of music education. Through the dedicated efforts of many diverse members of our music faculties and staff, as well as highly qualified conductors, choir members can deepen and broaden their own musical experiences through numerous performances on world-class stages.  

World Vision Korea Children's Choir tries to put is genuine traditions and fresh efforts together to create the highest quality of choral music community with more creative and diverse music and performances. The first chorus movie "You and You" was filmed recently by the choir and it provided an opportunity for the public to be inspired by classical music more naturally. World Vision Korea Children's Choir is looking forward to be a role model of sharing the loves in the global village singing with the sound of saving lives and delivering hopes.  

   
 
 

Organization
World Vision Korea Children's Choir largely consists of two groups; Music and Administrative Departments.The choir has all nine groups, include seven local (educational) choirs, one prep-concert choir, and one concert choir. Each choir have their own conducor, accompanist, and vocal trainer. Also the choir has its own composer stays to program a concert and develops the choirs repertoire. All six administrative staffs support choir by leading the business operations such as managing financial and accounting, fund development, and  marketing.
